Error messages getting you down? Don’t worry, we’re aware and we’ve made Microsoft aware as well. It seems that the rush of people attempting to download the new Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty 4 that went live today at 6:30 AM has caused some users currently attempting to download the maps to receive the message:
“Can’t retrieve information from XBOX LIVE, please try again later. Status Code: 8015000a”
As I said, no need to worry, yo shit ain’t broke. There’s just a large number of people hitting Xbox Live to download the new maps. You’ll probably be able to wait it out as more people get the maps today, but just in case we’ve made sure to let our friends at Microsoft know and as always they’re already addressing.
*UPDATE*
For those of you attempting to redeem tokens while Xbox Live Marketplace is down, it will say that your code is ‘INVALID’ even though it may not be. Don’t worry though, this doesn’t mean your screwed, it just means Xbox Live Marketplace is down. If it lets you start the download, and then says your code is already used, then you will still be able to re-download the Map Packs for free when Xbox Live Marketplace is back up.
If I get word that Marketplace is back up and running I’ll be sure to pass it on so you guys can re-download or redeem your token as needed
*Update 2*
I’ve been attempting to download the maps via Token on another Xbox just so I can keep tabs on how it’s going. I kept getting Invalid Code w/ the option to Try Again. Just kept hitting Try Again until it eventually went through. Now downloading at 15% finished. So keep trying if you get invalid code, it’ll go through eventually.

We need separate playlists for Domination, HQ, S&D, and Sabotage. I don’t want to have to go through 20 different rooms to find a Domination game, only to have it switch to S&D the next round. So, Hardcore + Split up the Objective playlists please.

I had the same XBOX LIVE problems with error codes. Persistance pays off. just keep trying to purchase (b00) and trying to download, eventually you’ll get a good connection through and get the new maps.

It sure would be nice to be able to play Killhouse. It is not in either of the rotations for the new maps. I have heard that you can play it on team tactical and cage match, but who plays those gametypes? No one thats who.

Oh, and you didn’t break the internet 402. You broke crappy Xbox Live that doesn’t even use dedicated servers like REAL games on the PS3 use, such as Warhawk. But, instead of following the true method of online gaming which has been done on PCs for years you decided to do the Live equivilant on PS3 without host migration. Thanks alot for that. What I am angry about is the delay for the GOTY buyers. I mean…really we buy the special edition game and now we have to wait? I could’ve downloaded the maps without the lag earlier today if I was allowed to redeem my keycode then. Now I have to wait for them to update the website and THEN site through hours of lag trying to download the maps. I feel jipped…
GOTY token redeemers should get special bandwidth to d/l the maps.

It took me over a half hour just to get my points card redeemed. All of a sudden it just took the code. I know it by heart now. Now I have been trying to download the maps for around an hour. I have my controller at the ready, and just keep trying to download. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! It just started to download as I type. Rant over!

It’s not just the map delay. He has yet to say what was in the last patch, and why in particular host migration is absent from the PS3. He hasn’t even said a word to the ps3 community in the past 3 weeks, at least, and he has yet to acknowledge that people are still having issues with hit detection/desynch/lag. Rather, he’s decided to completely ignore the ps3 users, and from what I understand PC users.

One thing i’ve noticed this evening is that random spawning now takes place in team matches. I just played headquarters, my team were spread all across the side of Overgrown with the houses down the street, with one poor guy from the other team in the middle (swiftly killed). If you read into this, you will find out that Killhouse is a free for all map only. It is too small and personal to do anything else. That is what I have read on more than one site. As for the PS3 deal, it is related to PS3 and their particular online system needing to be updated or something like that. That is what I have read on other sites as well. You should do a google search on the matter.

You are wrong about killhouse. Killhouse is similar to shipment. you can play them in three types of games.
Cage matches…headquarters.. Domination.
AS for hardcore matches, check your list now in multiplayer, you should see a hardcore variety pack

Anyone find that fallen tree on Creek that 402 mentioned in his Video interview? I am quite sure I found that and i have to say its not as easy as he makes it sound, but yeah it makes for a good lil short cut cross the other side. You will know you found it it will say “press A”, but then you gotta do 2 or maybe 3 more jumps to get up that step cliff. I am sure thats THEE best map, any one agree?

I understand many, if not all, ps3 users play cod4. My point is, more people play xbl than psn. its really not hard to see why you guys get fu cked over. theyll put more attention where the money is. and right now…that should be to GOTY buyers.

i felt that the graphics are better and the controller layouts is better on the 360. for example with the 360 the rt is to shoot and rb is to throw grenades. in the ps3 r1 is to shoot and r2 is to throw the grenades. and also

2nd- what Faces said about control, but you can change that ,and i have to disagree about graphics, slighty better on PS#3 on 1080p through HDMI. i have componet hookups on 360.graphics aside though on to #3..

but, I won the code at an official activision / IW event in london last week.. was a prize
met a few guys from the IW team Jon and Mark..
and they said we could get the maps on the 4th..
nothing was said about being put at the back of the queue [didn't want them first - just same time would have been great]
now the 5th in uk…
so getting slightly miffed at having to wait now - my friends have been playing all afternoon and night..
and the fact that thousands of people will be getting codes at same time = even more problems for xbox live

@ mike - thought the PS3 version was only 720p ? - sure it was when I played it?
even if your console is set to 1080p - games play at 720p if they not 1080p native -check the back of the game case - if it says “720p” thats all you will get.. the PS3 can’t upscale games..
unlike the 360..
that can scale any game to 1080p

PS3 version, like the 360 version, are at max 720p. It upscales the signal to 1080p on the PS3, I don’t know about the 360 but probably there too.

you are so very wrong their sir, i must correct you. go to settings, display settings, change resolution setting, disable 720, 1080i, thats what i have to do anyway and i didnt notice on the back it saying only 720p, but will check, I have a 42in Westinghouse( decent) and it tells you resolution when the game loads so thats how i figured out the 1080p resolution fix

@tom - the PS3 does not upscale games - so your only seeing 720p no matter if the XMB is set to 1080p
it drops down to 720p when playing 720p only games.. since it does not have a hardware scaler chip..
the ps3 only displays 1080p if the games are 1080p
if you have a screen info button on your TV - it will show 720p
the 360 will take 720p games and upscale them to 1080p - due to having a hardware scaler chip - even over component - if you TV supports it

SHADE_ disable the 720p and 1080i on cross media bar under display settings and you will have left 480p and 1080p, it will chose the 1080p when you load .

oh Shade $hit i almost forgot. if other games are ONLY 720 you have to switch the resolution back otherwise you get crappy 480p, such is the case with “HSG5:out of bounds”, only other game i own beside COD4 for PS3
